I had a few sessions with the Savant, and it beats with eas all the hmd's i've been using in all the years i'm smoking shisha. The last one was the Kaloud, but my sessions always lastest arround 1 hour at the most. Then the taste was gone, some of the hmd's only took my sessions to the 45min mark. Then the shisha started to getting a burned taste:( With the Savant i took my first hookah session to 2 hours.. and stil did'nt get a burned taste. I started with 3 coals to heat it up, then took one down.. after 1 hour i put 2 new coals on it on the other side of the Savant, and the taste was as new again:) It's really amazing how this works, i was a bit sceptic at first but now i never want anything else! I'll use the Savant every time i do a session, they really did a great job.. nothing comes close to this hmd and i've tryed/used many of them. I'm so happy with this device, it's truely something else!
I gave this HMD a fair chance with multiple tests. I’ve tested it against the Lotus 1+, Onmo, Zepplin, Provost V2, and the Alpha FNX. Used the same exact tobacco brand/flavor, same packing density, same coal (Le Orange cubes), same bowl (moa olla) and 3 sessions with each HMD. The Savant ranked 3rd overall when accounting for 1) ease of use, 2) session flavor output, 3) session length, and 4) heat efficiency. The best bang for the buck would be the Provost, followed by the Lotus 1+. Lastly, these were the results from my personal testing, so results may vary. I tried to minimize all the variables I could and these were my findings.

I really like this. I really wanted the small adapter but it was sold out so I had to get a fitting bowl. The heat management is awesome. Got some very good smokes out of it and it’s easy to use.
